We Can Only Grow Closer

This piece was developed by the cast and production team, led by Director Brian Carbine, through a series of explorations on themes from works by Patricia Highsmith. The final piece encouraged the audience to walk around an enclosed space of domestic decay and watch the performance through windows and holes in the walls. The intention behind the final costume design was to make the familiar strange, and the strange familiar, to reduce the ideas about MAN and WOMAN to a shape, to create an "other” within the space, and to hopefully present more questions than answers.  The removal of clothing within the piece is directly related to the changing relationships and identities of each character as the story progresses.
