Echo

First premiered at the Sharon Disney Lund Theater in 2014, in 2015 the show toured to the Boston Multicultural Arts Center, and in 2016 performed at the Taste of Soul Festival.

ECHO is an interdisciplinary multi-dimensional dance performance that examines issues of race, identity and the value of black life on a global level. Echo addresses the many residuals of slavery that still have an effect on the psyche of present-day culture and behavior. The costuming explores the way these scars, doubling as tattoos or marks of cultural pride, last for generations.
