What The Thunder Said

Adapted from Shakespeare’s “Coriolanus” and T.S. Eliot’s “The Waste Land”, produced by Rebel Mars Co., and presented as a part of New Works Festival 2014.

After the death of his wife, the mightiest human warrior, Aufidius, seeks vengeance on the demigod who killed her, Coriolanus. The costuming examines their relationships to their shared environment and each other. Aufidius, a great hunter, is clothed in the skins of animals and belongs to the realm of men. Coriolanus, more in-tune with the charred wasteland they inhabit, has built himself armor of wood and bark.
